Are you a fan of electronic and dance music? If so, Mysteryland is the perfect chance for you to enjoy these genres, a massive outdoor party that will take place on the 14th, 15th and 16th of December in Hacienda Picarquín, in the district of San Francisco de Mostazal, about 30 kms away from Rancagua. The hacienda is renowned having held the 19th World Scout Jamboree in December 1998, an event that gathered around 31.000 scouts and guides from all over the world.
The best way to experience the festival is to go with a group of friends and camp for the weekend to dance to the rhythm of the best electronic music. The idea is to get there early on Friday (the doors open at 9:00 am) to avoid the traffic jams and have a relaxed nice first day. You can bring your own food and drinks (only a limited amount), though if you need more you can buy inside the park. Make sure to charge all your electronic devices beforehand because there is also a limited amount of outlets. Remember you are going to be out in the woods, in the middle of nature!
This year there will be seven hectares available for camping, plenty of food services (which you will be able to buy with special coins called TOKENS), as well as toilets, showers, accesses and parking spaces. The general entrance ticket will be $77.500 Chilean Pesos ($160 USD) but there will be cheaper prices in presales. Admission is reserve to people of legal age (18 years or more).
For the new version of the festival the organizers decided to diversify the music offer, incorporating other music styles in the different stages to include national artists. The objective is to set up a spectacular show, with gigantic sceneries brought from Holland, and a world class display of lights, sound effects and pyrotechnics.
To tempt you a Little more, here’s the experience of GoChile’s sales manager, Héctor Gatica in last year’s Mysteryland:
“Mysteryland is a great experience for all lovers of electronic music. It features several stages, shows, and activities that make it a complete and attractive party. The surroundings of Parque Picarquín, on the foot of the Andes, are ideal because, apart from having three days of music, you can enjoy a nice barbecue, dive in one of the pools and enjoy the relaxation of the country in the company of good friends. Getting bored in this party is simply impossible with the numerous DJs coming from all over the world to show their best repertoire in the different stages. Also, the organization and the facilities are of first level, which sets this festival apart from similar events. There will be fireworks all over Picarquín. You can’t miss it!”.
